  2. 3 Interesting Facts and How it Was Used • Oware is the national game of Ghana • It’s name “oware” was given by the Akka people. • Some of its many names are Ayo, Awale, Wari, Ouri, Warri, and Adji. • To play oware, you need an oware board and 48 seeds. The normal oware board has 2 straight rows of 6 pits called “houses.” The object of the game is to capture more seeds than one’s opponent.
