Here are a few tips for small merchants looking to open an online merchant account to protect their payment data during COVID-19. Avoid storing card info Storing the card data is risky since it can be misused. Don’t write the card numbers down, instead enter them into various secure terminals that are available for use. Use strong password The password of your merchant account is the key to all your data. Using weak passwords often makes you vulnerable to data breaches. Your password needs to be strong and should also be regularly updated.
