Rates for CDHP, Enhanced 80/20, and Traditional 70/30 • Rate increase to all employee only and employee dependent/spouse coverage • Traditional 70/30 employee only remains at no cost • Rates for all plans listed on www.shpnc.org • Will be combined with the approved wellness premium/credit structure for the CDHP and Enhanced 80/20 Plan
Enhanced 80/20 for 2016 • The Enhanced 80/20 Plan remains the same for 2016, with one exception: • The prescription drug coinsurance maximum for Tier 5 (non-specialty) medications will increase slightly. • WELLNESS INCENTIVES FOR 2016 • Reduce your copays when you choose high quality provider options. • See your selected Primary Care Provider (or see another provider in your PCP’s office) $15 • See a Blue Options Designated specialist $10 • Use a Blue Options Designated hospital for an inpatient stay - Copay not applied
Consumer Directed Health Plan for 2016 • The State Health Plan’s contributions to your Health Reimbursement Account will increase. • Yourself only: $600; or • Yourself and one dependent: $1,200; or • Yourself and two or more dependents: $1,800 • The out-of-pocket maximum will increase by $500 for employee-only coverage, and $1,500 for family coverage.
Consumer Directed Health Plan for 2016 • A new Health Engagement Program will give you the opportunity to earn more State Health Plan contributions to your HRA. • See your selected Primary Care Provider (or see another provider in your PCP’s office) - $25 • See a Blue Options Designated specialist - $20 • Use a Blue Options Designated hospital for an inpatient stay - $20 • A new prescription drug debit card will let you pay for prescriptions at a retail pharmacy directly from your HRA, without having to pay up front and wait for reimbursement.
70/30 Plan for 2016 • The Plan’s annual deductible, copays, and other out-of-pocket expenses are increasing for 2016. • Please note the State Health Plan of North Carolina’s Board of Trustees has decided to delay offering a wellness credit for this plan for 2016. A previous communication that was mailed to you had included information about a credit for 2016.
NCFlex Changes • Several plans have a rate reduction (dental, vision, critical illness, and cancer) • Dental Annual Maximum increase to $2500 • FSA increases to $2550 • Guarantee issue for cancer plan • Spending accounts require re-enrollment • Core AD&D and Vision
Action Items • To enroll in or change your plan – Connect Carolina Portal • Complete wellness activities, visit the State Health Plan website (www.shpnc.org) and click My Personal Health Portal • Review your dependent/beneficiary information and make changes, if needed. • Attest to and complete the applicable wellness activities, to reduce your monthly premium. • Save your enrollment. • Print your confirmation statement for your records.
HDHP for Temporary Employees • Increase to the employer contribution from $117.62 to $122.78 (a 4.4% increase) • Maintains the existing coverage tiers and rate structure • Acknowledges the limited experience with the HDHP and does not adjust the rate structure to reflect the experience to date • Annual enrollment for HDHP
