  2. Network Misconceptions • When Logging in you only need to put firstname.lastname • You do not need to put Portage.k12.in.us • Outlook is now keyed to Lastname for searches.

  3. Saving My Files • H Drive is where your old stuff should be • My Documents is your centrally repository going forward • Wherever you login, your my documents will follow you. • Space issues • Not for Videos and films from personal events. • Pictures and videos should be archived out to external media after 3 years.

  4. Active Sync on IPAD or IPHONE • Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange. • Enter the information in the fields below, then hit Next

  8. Android Sync to Exchange • On the ANDROID device please select Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account > Exchange ActiveSync.

Two Versions of Outlook • Outlook Program • Actual Program on you computer • Outlook will follow you anywhere in the PTS Network. • No Login Required ( uses network username and Password) • Outlook Web Access (OWA) • Used for Quick Access • Used for access from remote locations • ie: home, airport, vacation • Login Required

Outlook Web AccessHttps://owa.portage.k12.in.us/owa OR • You can use almost any Internet-enabled PC to access Outlook. • All you need is the organization’s Outlook Web Access URL and a standard Web browser. • Outlook Web Access boasts many features. • Use care when accessing Outlook Web Access.

Responding to a Message • Reply - Compose an email to the sender, in response to the email received. • Reply - All Compose an email in response to the sender, with a copy to all who received the original email message. • Forward - Forward an email message to chosen contacts. • Meeting - Create a meeting request when you reply to an email
