  2. Characters • Alex Frankovitch • Alex is a boy • Alex likes baseball but is bad at it • TJ Stoner • TJ is a mean boy • TJ brags a lot so Alex doesn’t like him

  3. Characters- Continued • Mr. & Mrs. Frankovitch • They love their son very much. • They do not believe his silly lies • Mrs. Grayson • She is Alex’s teacher. • She wants all her students to do their best

  4. Summary • First, Alex gets caught in a lie when his cat throws up on his shoe. Alex enters a contest for Kitty Fritters. • Next, Alex is very jealous of TJ and does not want him to win an award or win the game. So, he tries to trick TJ. • Last, TJ wins the game and all of the kids make fun of Alex. However, Alex wins the Kitty Fritters contest and gets to be on TV.

  5. What I Liked • I liked that Alex tried his best to play baseball even thought there were other kids that were better than him. I also liked how his parents didn’t buy his lies. Finally, I liked how Alex won the contest

  6. What I Didn’t Like • I didn’t like how all of the kids made fun of Alex. I also didn’t like how mean TJ was to Alex.

  7. Similarities and Differences • Alex & I are alike! • Alex and I are both boys who like baseball. • Alex & I are different! • Alex owns a cat and l own a dog.
