Erosion • Erosion is the movement of soil particles from one place to another by water or wind. • Water Erosion: • Erosion by water is caused by raindrops, surface flow, and gully flow. • Wind Erosion: • Erosion by wind is common in dry areas where soils are often bare of vegetation and high wind velocities are common.

  2. Grow cover crops. Cultivate/Plow along the contour. Strip cropping. Build terraces. Practice crop rotation. Build small ponds and dams. Do not overstock or overgraze pastures. Soil Conservation Practices
