Comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan for NSCC: Curriculum and Operations

The NSCC Sustainability Office has developed an integrated sustainability action plan that addresses various aspects of campus operations, including waste management, energy conservation, and transportation. This plan includes specific initiatives such as Phyto/Myco-remediation, P-patch planning, and i-Tree inventory assessments. With an estimated commitment of about 5 hours per week per team member, this collaborative effort is designed to enhance sustainability education and engagement among students through regular meetings and charrettes. Updated as of March 2011, it aims to align with the STARS sustainability framework for ongoing improvement.
