  2. The BBB Foundation • The BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship is a program of the BBB Foundation • MISSION The Denver/Boulder BBB Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to consumer, business and marketplace education.

  3. Purpose of Scholarship • To promote character ethics and leadership. • To encourage Colorado-based education beyond high school. • To create a long-term relationship between the BBB and the student, who we hope will become a future Colorado business leader.

  4. Scholarship Award • Economically disadvantaged student • $10,000 over four years • Additional Scholarships • $5,000 • $2,500 • $1,000

  5. Scholarship Eligibility • U.S. Citizen • Legal resident of CO • 2.5 or higher GPA • Meet Pell Grant income requirements • Plans to attend an accredited college/university in CO • 2014 graduating class

  6. Scholarship Requirements • Academic • Proof of GPA • Post-secondary education plans • Academic awards • Essay • 400-word essay about character building • Recommendations • Two, no more than three, letters of recommendation • Leadership • Awards, honors and/or positions held • Community Involvement • Volunteer activities • Application 2013 Deadline: Sept 26th @ 4p.m.

  7. Selection Process • Volunteer selection committee chooses finalists. • Finalists give interviews. • Winner(s) chosen and announced to the public. • Scholarships presented at BBB Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust luncheon Oct 18, 2013. • $10,000 winner gives speech.
