  10. THE OSH EAST NET PROJECT is a part of IPA 2008 Programme – Civil Society Facility: Support to Partnership Actions "Environment, Energy Efficiency, and Health and Safety at Work"

THE OSH EAST NET PROJECT • The project aims • improve knowledge and awareness on OHS and promoting a transfer of skills and experience • enhance harmonization with ILO and EU standards • improve occupational safety and health management system in companies • establishment of the Associations of Industrial Hygiene • strengthening civil society • developing an information network • OSH capacity building among partners and stakeholders • developing and strengthening networks and partnerships within the Western Balkans and Turkey and the EU

The Target Groups addressed are Scientific and professional Associations (MAOSH, MAOM) National and local policy makers Employers’ organisations and trade unions No-profit associations, agencies, Non Governmental Organisations committed to OSH Private consultants and employees of industries, researchers and inspectors. THE OSH EAST NET PROJECT • Expected Results • A regional network for H&S protection and a dedicated website as main tool for sharing information (www.oshnet.eu) • Four thematic workshops for exchanging experiences and knowledge among partners (using EASW methodology) • Four technical seminars (1 for each involved Country) to analyze the state of art related to the associations/networks, OHS legislations, OSHAS 18000 • Twinning Agreement between partners • Participation of partner associations at the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA) as members and presentation of OSH EAST NET activities (September 2010) • One international event to promote project • Website and printed material – www.oshnet.eu

  14. THE OSH EAST NET PROJECT Actions WP 0:Project Management. Coordinator: AIDII (from 1st to 18th month). WP 1:Baseline assessment on OHS legislation, problems, needs and existing associations/networks in the target Countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey. Coordinator: Association of Public Health Research of Turkey (from 1st to 6th month). WP 2:Set-up of a permanent network between partners with the intention to discuss selected critical OHS issues and exchangerelevant know-how. Coordinator: AIDII; (from 4ft to 17th month). WP 3:Active support in the institution of an association of industrial hygienists in Serbia, Albania and Macedonia. Coordinator: Association for Safety and Health at Work – Serbia (from 11ft to 14th month).

  15. THE OSH EAST NET PROJECT Actions WP 4:Formulation and signature of a Twinning Agreement between partners. Coordinator: Macedonian Confederation of Employers of Republic of Macedonia - Medical Companies Association; (from 14ft to 17th month). WP 5:Presentation of the new Partnership during the 8th International Scientific Conference of IOHA to be organised in Rome, September 2010 Coordinator: National Association of Public Health of Albania; (from 10th month to 14th month). WP 6:Organization of a final event for dissemination and communication about project results. AIDII (from 15ft to 18th month).
