  • The decision has been made to progressively introduce the internationally recognized ASYCUDA system from early 2006.
  • In the mean time, intensive IT equipment and support has been provided for ex-post computerization of SAD documents.

  • ASYCUDA implementation experts have been hired from Iran and UNCTAD to train the national ASYCUDA team and implement the system within the ACD.
  • Computerization of key border posts and facilitation of telecommunication between borders, inland custom houses & headquarter is in progress.

  • Even though, We are no like other developed countries!!
  • But we have gained too much from the system
  • Something from nothing
  • System Adaptation with an ancient – traditional trade environment
  • Even though ! The first computer was introduced & delivered to ACD in 2002 ( Just to type & print the documents)


  • ASYCUDA is the first national Complete computerization system in the civil service structure of Afghanistan
  • Afghanistan is the land-bridge to connect the central Asia with South Asia, ASYCUDA became the first electronic computer application to facilitate this phenomena
  • After Iran, Afghanistan became the first country to implement the UNCTAD developed system in the region
  • International Transit will be facilitate using the Transit System
  • Introducing of IT culture to the department
  • Taking into account that ASYCUDA is coming, all the customs infrastructures are being build IT & ASYCUDA friendly.
  • Tracing of the missing cargo-trucks are possible now with ASYCUDA transit
  • ASYCUDA Transit tracing helped us increase revenue & better control of the trade cargos.
