  5. To what extent is “Stop Idling Engine” effective in minimizing air pollution in HK? Conclusion: Stop idling engine + other solutions (e.g. use cleaner fuel) => minimize air pollution in HK

  6. Evaluate whether“Stop Idling Engine” is effective in minimizing air pollution in HK? Stop idling engine is only partly effective as it has some limitations.

  7. Assess the effectiveness of“Stop Idling Engine” in minimizing air pollution in HK? Stop idling engine is only partly effective as it has some limitations.

  8. “Stop Idling Engine is effective in minimizing air pollution in HK.” Justify the statement. • 1. What is “stop idling engine”? • 2. How can it minimize air pollution? • - non-moving vehicles will release more pollutants than moving vehicles • By forcing non-moving vehicles to idle their engines, it can cut air pollutants on roads

  9. Compare the reasons of high API in Tung Chung & Causeway Bay • MUST compare in pairs • 1. Similarities • Air pollutants in these 2 regions come from combustion of fossil fuels from vehicles. • 2. Differences • Causeway Bay has HIGHER density of tall buildings than Tung Chung which trap the pollutants and create WALL effect. • Tung Chung receives MORE pollutants than Causeway Bay from South China especially when there is strong NW winter monsoon . • Air pollution in Tung Chung is mainly caused by external factors while air pollution in Causeway Bay is caused by internal factors.

  10. Essay Structure • 1. Introduction • a) standpoint (I partly agree with the statement as there are other factors affecting XXXX) • b) simple definition (if any) • 2.
