This project highlights effective communication strategies implemented by the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) in collaboration with various countries in the Danube River Basin. It showcases the importance of information tools, awareness raising, and public participation in managing the basin sustainably. Through workshops, operational plans, and stakeholder conferences, the project promotes active engagement and solidarity among stakeholders to protect the Danube River ecosystem. Lessons learned from Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, and other countries underscore the significance of targeted communication for fostering awareness and encouraging participation in river basin management.
