AO2 To learn to identify a variety of different National Sporting Facilities around the country. • National sport centres are provided by a government agency called Sport England, although sometimes they are managed by private companies. • They provide high quality sporting and residential facilities and focus on providing people with the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level. • Each centre provides state of the art equipment, support facilities and access to the top coaches. Task 1: Research Sport England What is it? Who runs it? Who funds it? What does it do for sport in England? Challenge Can you give a local example of Sport England help/ influence?
