Join us for a week of creative writing focused on poetry, taking place from October 15th. Each day, we'll engage in varied activities that reinforce form, content, literary elements, and voice. Starting with an allusion poem warm-up, we'll transition into developing your unique poetry scrapbooks. Students will learn to craft shape, biography, and color poems while analyzing examples of scrapbooks. The week culminates with presenting your work, allowing for reflective self-evaluation. All poetry scrapbooks are due on Friday—let your creativity shine!
