Housing LIN – projects in progress • Supporting for NHS England across the North, Yorkshire & Humber, West Midlands and South West on Transforming Care Programme to improve housing for people with learning disability • Work for NHF on DTOC that demonstrate how housing associations can offer greater cost effectiveness, reduce demand, improve quality, deliver better outcomes, showcase innovative new models of care at home or housing development etc • Also similar work with Foundations with regard to Home Improvement Agencies • Work for LGA on recent Housing Commission report. Looking to highlight 7 councils that have exemplar housing and ageing strategies. • Age-friendly housing: design futures for an ageing population for RIBA

Housing LIN consultancy Underpinning your learning and improvement • Developed new service webpages setting our consultancy, training and wider fee paying services to supplement our free online and regional Housing LIN networking activities. Examples of work include • Strategic Housing for Older People Market Analysis for 3 County Councils in England and Wales • Writing a local authority extra care housing strategies • Undertaking sheltered housing ‘fit for purpose’ asset management reviews for housing associations in London and Wales • Viability assessments on future funding of housing for older people in the light of LHA and local care commissioning plans

Upcoming Housing LIN resources In the pipeline: • Putting Older People First in the North West (compiled by the NW Housing LIN Leadership Set) • Housing LIN practice briefing on Making best use of NHS estate • Working with Universities of Bristol, Worcester and Kent on the joint ECHO project • New report on enabling people with dementia remain at home – the housing perspective (in partnership with the Housing and Dementia Working Group) • Let us know if you would like to write a blog, viewpoint, case study or report for the Housing LIN.
