  2. Autofocus- A device used in many cameras, projectors and enlargers that focuses the image automatically. A is for Autofocus

  3. Blur-The process of softening the details or edges of an image. B is for Blur

  4. Card Reader-An Electronic device, which is connected to your computer to transfer pictures from memory cards from digital cameras to your computer. C is for Card Reader

  5. Digital Camera- A type of camera that records data in pixels that can be directly loaded into and handled by a computer, rather than using film. Dif for Digital Camera

  6. Eyepiece Shutter-A device in the camera that prevents light from entering the viewfinder eyepiece. E is for Eyepiece Shutter

  7. Flash Drive-A memory card that uses flash memory, which allows you to transfer images from your camera to your computer. F is for Flash Card

  8. GIF- Graphic Image File format. An image-storage type, similar to a JPEG and PDF. G is for GIF

  9. Hue- The aspect of color that makes the color what it is. For example, hue is what makes blue look blue. H is for Hue

  10. Intensity-The relative brightness of a portion of the image or illumination source. I is for Intensity

  11. JPEG-A JPEG is a graphic image storage file. Similar to GIF’s and PDF’s. J is for JPEG

  12. Kilobyte- An amount of computer memory, disk space, or document size that is equal to approximately one thousand bytes. K is for Kilobyte

  13. LCD Screen- Liquid Crystal Display screen found on many digital cameras that allows previewing or reviewing of images. The screen also serves as a monitor for some camera controls. L is for LCD Screen

  14. Magic Wand-The selection tool which chooses portions of an image based on color. M is for Magic Wand

  15. Negative-A photographic image in which tones and colors are reversed from the original scene. Nis for Negative

  16. Optical- A tool that brings you closer to your subject, without you having to move. Zooms are constructed to allow a continuously variable focal length, without disturbing focus. Ois for Optical Zoom

  17. PDF-A PortableDocumentFormat is a file format that captures photos or document as an electronic image that you can view. Similar to JPEG’s and GIF’s. P is for PDF

  18. Quick Selection- A tool in Photoshop used to select certain areas of an image based on color. Similar to the Magic Wand tool. Q is for Quick Selection

  19. Retouching- To remove imperfection or unwanted portions of an image. R is for Retouching

  20. Sharpen- A retouching function for enhancing the details or edges of an image. S is for Sharpen

  21. Tones- Thestrength of grays between white and black. It relates to the brightness, lightness and darkness of the subject and is determined by illumination. T is for Tones

  22. URL-Stands for Uniform Resource Locator, and is used locate or reference files on the Internet. U is for URL

  23. Viewpoint-The location of the camera, or person, taking a picture, relative to the subject of the photo. V is for Viewpoint

  24. White Balance-The setting in a digital camera that allows you to compensate for the surrounding light, so that all of the colors in the photo are effectively displayed. W is for White Balance

  25. Xtranormal-A website used to make animated short videos. X is for Xtranormal

  26. Yellow- One of the Primary colors, that is one of the four ink process colors. Y is for Yellow

  27. Zoom-To enlarge an image or a portion of an image. Z is for Zoom
