  2. Topkapi Palast Museum (TopkapiSarayiMüzesi) war jahrhundertelang der Wohn- und Regierungssitz der Sultane und das Verwaltungszentrum des Osmanischen Reiches. Kurz nach der Eroberung Konstantinopels (1453) wurde durch Sultan Mehmed II. mit dem Bau begonnen. Der Palast besteht gemäß der türkischen Tradition aus mehreren Gebäuden in einem großen Garten. Mit einer Größe von über 69 Hektar und bis zu 5000 Bewohnern war er eine eigene Stadt.

  8. Hagia Sophia Museum (AyasofyaMüzesi) wurde Ende 537 nach der Fertigstellung geweiht und vom Ökumenischen Patriarchat als Kirche genutzt bis zum Fall von Konstantinopel. Danach bis 1932 als Moschee. Jetzt ist es ein Museum.
