1. During my time as a child, I remember visiting so many different places with my family. One of my best memories was when I went to Tyler, Texas to visit my cousins. My uncle has a family of eight and he has four daughters and two sons. My sister and I really get along with them not only because were family but they are around our age and we are able to tell secrets to each other. While we were in Tyler our cousins decided to go to the Central Zoo Park and we had a lot of fun that day. On our field trip my favorite part was when we were able to feed the giraffes. When I first saw them they were huge, long, and had big tongues. I feed a leaf to one of the giraffes and inside I felt as if it would eat my hand but the giraffe was very gentle and kind. One of my favorite animals I saw was the flamingoes. The flamingoes were very still as if it were a statue just staring into my eyes. I was amazed by there long legs and the color they were, they were pink and their color reminded me of once a beautiful pink rose I had seen in my grandmas garden. What really had me shocked were the turtles. The turtles were very over grown and big unlike how I had pictured them in my mind. I have seen about four or six turtles in my backyard during the month of April and they were never the size of the turtles that were at the Central Zoo Park. After we were tired and done watching the animals there was a stand in the entrance and they were selling different flavored ice cream cones. I have always like watermelon flavored cones and that was what I had chosen. It was a very hot day and it was during the summer so we decided it was time to go and say goodbye to our aunt and uncle. While we were in the leaving room the TV was on and out of nowhere something inappropriate appeared on the screen and everyone blurted out laughing. Although I have gone to many different places in my life I really enjoyed that day not only because I was able to see new different animals but because I was with my family and that’s all I really needed to have fun.
