About MikroTik • Founded in 1995, MikroTik is located in Riga, Latvia, with 70 employees • MikroTik has a Chinese partner that develops the HW and SW • MikroTik develops and markets low end routers and wireless products • Selling mainly in former Soviet Union and developing countries and worldwide via web • As a private company, the financial status and sales numbers are undisclosed • In 2007, MikroTik sold ~$6M in Indonesia (both routers & Wireless)

Positioning • Low cost products • Low cost motherboards, standard and high power 802.11a/b/g/n piggybacks • Low end customers • Sale via distributors and web • 14 days warrantee(intended to cover DOA only) • No RMA process • No lightning protection • Add on costs and features • The radios are shipped supporting standard configurable regulations as FCC, ETSI etc. and they work with 5and 20MHz channel • Licenses are sold for opening the unit to networking features, high power, full 4.9-6.0 GHz band and additional channel spacing • One year warrantee cost extra 30% on price, only available in certain countries.
