  3. Why did they migrate • It is the third largest ethic group that moved from south Sudan by following the River Nile and settle down near Lake Victoria via Uganda. The first of them arrived in 1500AD . They moved along river Nile in search of fish. That moved from east of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. • They needed to move because of plants that they needed for witch craft. The Luosmoved again because of health care and found more plants which could be used for medicine in their witch craft.

  4. Culture tradition What is the culture? • Most of the Luo’sare Christians. In the church there is a lot of dance and music. • Ceremonies are performed when a baby is born. The luos refer to God by many names. Luos are majorly Christians. Age The important factor in the Luo society is age. Age is divide into two, which are age-grading and age set. Age is the stage of how much property they have. Luo property are ownership, they promoted a sense of belonging, they have social economic and network.

  5. Population • The population was increasing which made them migrate. They make about 25% of the total population of Kenya. That is about one third of Kenya’s total population.

  6. Language • The Luocommunity has the leastly language. They talk in English or Kiswahili or they Luolanguage.
