  1. Rely On Christ, Not Rules Bangc Giduc, Maiv Zeiz Gunv Nye Mienh Ko^lo^si 2:13-19 Colossians 2:13-19

  2. 13 Zinh ndaangc laaix meih mbuo baamz zuiz, yaac laaix meih mbuo maiv jiex gaatv nyei leiz guangc baamz zuiz nyei fiem-fingx, meih mbuo se dorngx daic mi'aqv. Mv baac ih zanc Tin-Hungh bun meih mbuo caux Giduc nangh daaih yaac guangc mbuo nyei yietc zungv zuiz. 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.

  3. 14 Ninh betv guangc dingc mbuo nyei zuiz nyei zaeqv-daan, dongh fiev jienv caux mbuo doix-dekc nyei leiz-latc. Ninh zorqv mingh ding jienv ziepc nzaangc jaax mi'aqv. 14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

  4. 15 Yiem ziepc nzaangc jaax Giduc hingh jiex yiem ndaamv-lungh maaih lingc maaih qaqv gunv sic wuov deix, aengx dorng zuangx dorh ninh mbuo mingh hnangv zuqc caangv nyei mienh nor, bun cing Giduc hingh mi'aqv. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

  5. 16 Weic naaiv maiv dungx bun haaix dauh weic meih mbuo nyanc nyei hopv nyei, fai jiex zipv nyei leiz, fai bieqc Siang-Hlaax nyei leiz, fai Dingh Gong Hnoi nyei leiz, daanh meih mbuo. 17 Naaiv deix sic kungx zoux dongh linh biux mengh nqa'haav oix daaih nyei sic hnangv. Mv baac zien nyei se Giduc. 16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

  6. 17 Naaiv deix sic kungx zoux dongh linh biux mengh nqa'haav oix daaih nyei sic hnangv. Mv baac zien nyei se Giduc. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

  7. 18 Maaih deix mienh zoux eix leiz hnangv nyiemc ganh zoux faix, baaix fin-mienh. Kungx nzamc ninh mbuo buatc hinc yaangh nyei sic hnangv, yaac ei baamh mienh nyei eix ceng ganh hlo. Maiv dungx bun naaiv nyungc mienh nduov meih mbuo, bun meih mbuo nyei zingh nyeic ndortv. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.

  8. 19 Wuov nyungc mienh yaac maiv kaux Giduc zoux m'nqorngv. M'nqorngv zoux gorn yungz sin bun sin daaux duqv horpc, nyatv daaux nyatv, jaan daaux jaan, ziangh sin ziouc ei Tin-Hungh nyei za'eix hlo daaih. 19 He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

  9. Biux Mengh Waac Introduction Naaiv douc Ging-Sou gorngv Yesu tengx mbuo caux Tin-Hungh horpc hnyouv yiem 4 diuc jauv: This passage speak of 4 situations Jesus helped us to reconciliation to God :

  10. I. Yesu tengx mbuo nangh daaih, “Mv baac ih zanc Tin-Hungh bun meih mbuo caux Giduc nangh daaih yaac guangc mbuo nyei yietc zungv zuiz.” (ys.13). Jesus helped us alive, “God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.” (vse.13).

  11. 1. Ndaangc mbuo sienx Giduc nyei ziangh hoc, mbuo nyei fiem-fingx se orqv haic. Mbuo yaac maiv muangx Tin-Hungh nyei waac yaac zoux sic doix-dekc Ninh. Before we believed in Christ, our nature was evil. We disobeyed and rebelled against God.

  12. 2. Hnangv haaix yaac zeiz, haaix zanc mbuo sienx kaux Giduc, Tin-Hungh ganh bun siang-fiem-fingx mbuo (2 Ko^lin^to 5:17; Gaa^laa^tie 6:15). Tin-Hungh zorqv mbuo nyei loz-fiem-fingx dorh mingh ding ziepc nzaangc jaax mi’aqv (Lomaa 6:6). Ninh ganh bun siang-fiem-fingx mbuo, se hnamv fiem-fingx (Ko^lo^si 3:9-10). However, when we believed on Christ, God gave us a new nature (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15). God has crucified the old rebellious nature (Romans 6:6), and replace it with a new loving nature (Colossians 3:9-10).

  13. 3. Zuiz nyei zaeqv caux Giduc daic yiem ziepc nzaangc jaax mi’aqv. Tin-Hungh gorngv mbuo maiv dorngc aqv, caux mbuo yaac maiv yiem zuiz nyei qaqv ga’ndiev maengx aqv. “Meih mbuo zoux bungx nqoi nyei mienh ziouc oix zuqc hnangv bungx nqoi nyei mienh yiem nor. Mv baac maiv dungx longc bungx nqoi nyei leiz zoux haaix nyungc waaic sic. Oix zuqc ziangh jienv zoux Tin-Hungh nyei nouh.” (1 Bide 2:16). The penalty of sin died with Christ on the cross. God has declared us not guilty, and we need no longer live under sin’s power. “Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16).

  14. II. “Ninh betvguangc dingc mbuo nyei zuiz nyei zaeqv-daan, dongh fiev jienv caux mbuo doix-dekc nyei leiz-latc. Ninh zorqv mingh ding jienv ziepc nzaangc jaax mi'aqv.” (ys.14). 14 “He having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.” (vs. 14).

  15. 1. Dongh fiev jienv dingc mbuo nyei zuiz wuov deix leiz se Loz-Ngaengc Waac nyei leiz duqv betv guangc mi’aqv. Dongh doix-dekc mbuo, oix mbuo jaauv zuiz nyei zaeqv wuov deix leiz (ys.14). The record that was destroyed contained the legal demands of the Old Testament law. The law opposed us by its demands for payment for our sin, was canceled (vs.14).

  16. 2. Mbuo haih njien-youh a’hneiv mbuo nyei siang-maengc yiem Giduc, weic zuqc mbuo duqv caux ninh juangc daic aengx nangh daaih. Mbuo nyei orqv fiem-fingx caux mbuo hnamv oix zoux zuiz nyei jauv caux ninh daic mi’aqv. We can enjoy our new life in Christ because we have joined him in his death and resurrection. Our evil desires, our bondage to sin, and our love of sin died with him.

  17. 3. Ih zanc mbuo, juangc ninh nyei panh nangh daaih nyei maengc, mbuo yaac duqv caux Tin-Hungh jiu tong yietc liuz, yaac duqv bungx nqoi maiv zuqc zuiz nyei qaqv gunv mbuo aqv. Mbuo nyei zuiz nyei zaeqv yaac duqv jaauv sung mi’aqv; mbuo nyei zuiz yaac duqv sortv guangc mi’aqv; mbuo yaac duqv benx cing-nzengc nyei mienh; Tin-Hungh yaac maiv jangx mbuo zoux dorngc ninh nyei sic aqv. Now, joining him in his resurrection life, we may have unbroken fellowship with God and freedom from sin. Our debt for sin has been paid in full; our sins are swept away and forgotten by God; and we can be clean and new.

  18. III. “Yiem ziepc nzaangc jaax Giduc hingh jiex yiem ndaamv-lungh maaih lingc maaih qaqv gunv sic wuov deix, aengx dorng zuangx dorh ninh mbuo mingh hnangv zuqc caangv nyei mienh nor, bun cing Giduc hingh mi'aqv. (ys.15).“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” (vs. 15)

  19. 1. Maaih lingc maaih qaqv gunv sic wuov deix mienh se haaix dauh? Mienh camv hnamv daaih m’nziex (a) saa^daan nyei qaqv, (b) guoqv zangc nyei hungh, (c) fin-mienh, (d) caux Lomaa hungh jaa. Who are these rulers and authorities? Several suggestions have been made, including: (a) demonic powers, (b) the gods of the powerful nations, (c)angels,(d) the government of Rome.

  20. 2. Naaiv deix maaih lingc maaih qaqv gunv sic nyei mienh se njaaux jaav leiz nyei fin-saeng caux mienv (ys. 8-10). These rulers and authorities were false teachers and demonic force in (vs. 8-10).

  21. 3. Ko^lo^si nyei njaaux jaav leiz fin-saeng nduov mienh baaix zaangc fin-mienh. Mv baac yiem Giduc daic nyei jauv, Giduc hingh jiex naaiv deix yietc zungv nyei lingc mi’aqv. Hnangv naaic, mbuo maiv zuqc gamh nziez fai baaix ninh mbuo, mbuo buatc ninh mbuo se maiv zeiz benx maaih lingc nyei mienh. The Colossian false teachers were encouraging worship of angels. But at Christ’s death, Christ surpassed the position and authority of any angel. So rather than fear angels or worship them, we are to view them as deposed rulers.

  22. IV. Giduc zoux horpc fim nyei gorn, “M'nqorngv zoux gorn yungz sin bun sin daaux duqv horpc, nyatv daaux nyatv, jaan daaux jaan, ziangh sin ziouc ei Tin-Hungh nyei za'eix hlo daaih.” (ys.19). “He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.” vs.19).

  23. 1. Njaaux jaav leiz nyei fin-saeng nyei sic se, ninh mbuo nyei gorn-ndoqv maiv duqv caux Yesu borqv jienv, dongh zoux sin fai sienx nyei mienh nyei m’nqorngv wuov dauh. The fundamental problem with false teachers was that they were not connected to Christ, the head of the body of believers.

  24. 2. Se gorngv njaaux jaav leiz nyei fin-saeng duqv caux Giduc ziangh jienv nor, ninh mbuo zungv maiv njaaux jaav nyei leiz caux ziangh maiv cing-nzengc nyei maengc. If false teachers had been joined to Christ, they could not have taught false doctrine or lived immorally.

  25. 3. Haaix dauh njaaux Tin-Hungh nyei jauv yaac maiv duqv caux Giduc ziangh jienv yiem sienx fim nor, mbuo zungv maiv horpc zuqc sienx fai muangx ninh. Anyone who teaches about God without being connected to Christ by faith, we should not be trusted or listen to.

  26. Setv Mueiz Waac Conclusion “Meih mbuo zoux bungx nqoi nyei mienh ziouc oix zuqc hnangv bungx nqoi nyei mienh yiem nor. Mv baac maiv dungx longc bungx nqoi nyei leiz zoux haaix nyungc waaic sic. Oix zuqc ziangh jienv zoux Tin-Hungh nyei bou.” (2 Bide 2:16). “Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16).
