  1. MidarcMidland Association of Riding Clubs The 2015 Sunshine Tour

  2. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • The Sunshine Tour will consist of Classes for Showjumping, Dressage, In Hand and Ridden Showing, Working Hunter • All Clubs and Shows may schedule in up to two show dates between 1st April 2015 and 9th August 2015

  3. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • Whats in it for the Riders • Capped Maximum entry fees of £8 • Regular league tables for their classes • League tables will also show placings in that class which may help when selling a pony or horse on. So, if they have a Ridden Cob and put it up for sale, the potential buyer can see its record on the Sunshine Tour, showing how many 1st, 2nds, 3rd etc it has won in that class. We think, a useful selling aid. • The top 20 in each class Qualifies for the elite classes held during a prestigious final at the end of the summer • Normal Midarc qualifiers will also run, so everyone can still qualify, but most importantly, only the top 20 compete in the elite classes • Top prizes for the elite clases, trophies to the winner and rosettes to 6th place for each league. Rug, Trophy, Sashes and rosettes at the elite finals

  4. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • What are the costs to the Rider • They can register on line free of charge until 28th February 2015 • From 1st March 2015, there will be an affiliation (membership) fee of £10 for Rider and Horse combination, subsequent registrations will be £5 • Apart from entry fees to local shows and to the finals there are no other costs

  5. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • Whats does the club or show have to do? • From your normal show dates, select 1 or 2 dates you would like to have considered for a Sunshine Tour Show • Complete the registration forms as per normal • Select which classes you wish to run as Sunshine Tour Classes – you can have non sunshine classes in your schedule for the same day • At the end of the show and within 72 hours, complete the on-line results forms, this will enable us to keep the league tables up to date • Then look forward to your invite to come and have lunch with us at the finals

  6. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • What are the benefits for the shows? • Registration is free – so no charge • Riders will be seeking out qualifying shows so that they can earn points towards their league placings, therefore the possibility is that your numbers at the shows may increase. • You will get increased coverage and exposure through our promotions network and media coverage • There will be a restriction on the number of shows hosting the sunshine tour, it will be first come first served, but hosting a sunshine tour qualifier will give your show a certain amount of increased kudos in the equestrian world • Shows will be able to take registrations on the day. • Shows will be allowed to retain 50% of the registration fee as a commission, so that’s £5 per registration in to the clubs coffers

  7. The 2015 Sunshine Tour • The small print for shows!!!! • Entry fees must be capped at £8 per entry • A 50p levy per entry will be made to assist in the provision of prizes, rugs, trophies at the Sunshine Tour Finals • The average entry fee throughout the Midarc clubs as at July 2014 is £6.25We recommend that you add an extra 50p to your entry fee up to a maximum of £8 – this will cover your levy fee • We will invoice you for a levy of 50p per rider when your results are in
