The Climate Change Matrix • Climate Change and Security: Interrelation • Distribution of dwindling natural resources are points of stress concentration especially when vulnerable strata of society involved. • Indian perspective • Economically weak and badly affected neighbours. • Sea level rise would cause internal and international migration at zones where such pattern already exists. • Agriculture likely to be very badly affected: Weather related hunger likely to engulf billions. • Climate Change and Indian Military. Briefly the major impacts that Indian military would have to contend with are: • Logistics routes. • Relocation of coastal military assets and maritime borders • Manage depleting ODS • Enhanced health care programme • Faster melting of snow in Jammu & Kashmir • Encroachment on military land due to migration
