Use dates in the Background Essay to tentatively set these markers. • 3. According to the Background Essay, what were the three reasons for the establishment of the Georgia colony? • 4. Organize your ideas/evidence into “buckets” or categories (categories = goals of the charter).

  2. DBQ: Based on the reasons for settlement, as stated in the Charter of 1732, was Georgia a success or a failure? This is the question that you must answer. Like a lens on a camera, you must focus on what? The REASONS/GOALS of the Charter. There are three (3) main REASONS/GOALS.
