GAO Actions Update • Steering Committee to: Develop a plan with timeframe to facilitate the implementation of OMB’s portfolio management guidance (goals, performance measures, annual reporting to OMB) - Target Date: FY 2014, Q1 • Responsible Officials: Ivan DeLoatch, FGDC OS; and Adrian Gardner, NASA • STATUS: Implementation plan to be developed, will be topic at upcoming ExCom, NGAC and SteerCom meetings • Direction memo to agencies in final draft, planned to go to the President’s Management Council, outlines roles/responsibilities for theme lead and other agencies, • SAOGI to coordinate within your agency to execute the following: • Affirm agency’s appointed Executive Champion(s) and Theme Lead(s) by May 30, 2013. • Identify representative to participate in the development of the Implementation Plan, by May 30, 2013. • Each agency is requested to ensure that the designated individuals have sufficient resources to carry out their responsibilities. • Agencies will also be asked to develop plans for the management of assigned Theme(s) and report to the FGDC Steering Committee – initial report topics included as attachment. • Steering Committee to: Develop and implement guidance and timeframe for identifying planned geospatial investments using the Geospatial Platform - Target Date: FY 2013, Q4 • Responsible Officials: Jerry Johnston, DOI • STATUS: Technical capability in development with policy to follow. “Marketplace” community development can begin after the May scheduled release of new prototype Platform 2.0 functionality.

GeoCloud III • GeoCloud-II projects transitioned to own accounting, reimbursable hosting, or termination. • Selected four new projects that will be deploying either ArcGIS Server or OpenGeo Suite using secure Amazon Web Services in partnership with HHS and eGlobalTech. • Focus is on deployment of National Geospatial Data Assets (NGDA) using common software ‘platforms’ for shared security certification and Web Services for geospatial data, registered with the Geospatial Platform catalog.
