  2. God has blessed our UBF ministry so much that CBF came about. So CBF means the outcome of God’s blessing upon our ministry. This is the reason we have to maintain, develop and pass CBF ministry on to next generation. That’s why, CBF should be a blessing to UBF. 1. CBF came from UBF ministry

  3. 2. The importance of CBF ministry Succeeding generation Education is our future Spiritual discipline and training in young ages “4-14 window” movement focuses on global mission Long term goal and vision

  4. 3. How to divide them? Based on ages; 1 --- 13 yr CBF (Children Bible Fellowship) 14 – 17 yrs HBF(High-school Bible Fellowship) 18 + yrs UBF(University Bible Fellowship) *Children’s education = CBF + HBF + UBF • 1 – 3 yrs……Baby • 4 – 5 yrs……Pre-school & kindergarten • 6 – 13 yrs…..Primary school • 14 –17 yrs….Secondary school • 18 + yrs…….College

There are 7 divisions Middle-school Bible Fellowship(MBF): 13 --- 15 years old Children Bible Fellowship(CBF): 1 --- 14 years old Junior-high Bible Fellowship(JBF): 12 --- 14 years old High-school Bible Fellowship(HBF): 15 --- 18 years old • Baby Bible Fellowship(BBF): ages 1 – 6 years old • Pre-school Bible Fellowship(PBF): age 1 ---6 years old • Elementary-school Bible fellowship(EBF): age 6 – 12 year

  6. Based on maturity progress; 1 ----- 13 yrs……………. 85 % 14 --- 17 yrs……………. 10 % 18 + yrs……………….. 5 % Based on these facts: CBF ministry = Family education + CBF education

  7. 4. The purpose of CBF ministryLuke 2:52 ---“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” With what? In wisdom (words of God) In stature (flexible container of mind and heart) In favor with God In favor with men at the same time • How? When children “grow” (by spiritual education) • Therefore, “CBF is the Jesus’ school” that help children to grow in Jesus.

  9. 1. Bible study and worship service: Bible study Worship service Helps children to come to God and have devotion to Him. Also it brings commitment, loyalty, obedience, affection, thanksgiving and service to God. Enables children to know who God is, who Jesus is and what God’s history is. Through these learning, children found themselves in the flow of God’s work and history.

Bible study and worship service: • Teacher ( three roles ) • Teacher + Shepherd + Parent Required for: Teacher education (on-going) Teacher training (work-shop, seminar) Teachers’ conference Book report Curriculum writing Teachers’ net-working This developing process forms new leadership in the church as well For these purposes: • Faithful • Responsible • Knowledgeable • Loving • Humble • Saving souls • Parental heart • Role model

Bible study and worship service: Special focus on: Thankful heart (complaining) Obedience (disobedience) Giving life (selfishness) Service to God (Leadership) Learning mind (Growing) (2) Curriculum; • Bible centered • Easy to understand • Doable practice • Systematic • Need to update and revise • Guide and references for teacher

  13. 2. Faith building programs Faith comes from practicing the words of God. Biblical programs give children meaning, motivation and encouragement to follow Jesus and enable them to participate in God’s works.

Faith building programs • Special worship services with celebrations; *Easter and Christmas • Bible oriented; Bible Olympics I & II: Reviewing Bible study 2 / year Bible memorization contest: 400 Bible verses / CBF years • Vacation Bible school (5 days); • Summer Bible conference (3 days & 2 nights); • Maximum Bible study and fun • Experience world mission • Leadership training • co-working • Independent training • Regional gathering • Using vacation for Bible study • Outreach activities • Raising teachers and messengers • Parents participation

Faith building programs • Cultural: Physical discipline: • All kinds of sport • Valentine for Jesus (Feb.) • Hallelujah Light Festival (Oct.) • Language discipline: • Relief activity (raise fund for needy people): • Foreign languages • Teachers conference: • “Angel tree” (domestic) • “World Vision” (global) For appreciation to teacher’s service and improving teacher’s quality and enhancing teaching method for spiritual benefits for children. • Outreach programs: • Others: • Inviting friends and neighbors • Street cleaning and others • New year key verse (Jan.) • Baptism ( after Bible memory) • Confess Jesus as a personal Savior and • publicly declare as a child of God • Graduation • New school year (Sep.) • Christmas card sending to Msn. • Celebrating children’s birthday • Music discipline: • CBF Disciples’ Chorus • CBF Orchestra • Singspirationteam

  16. 3. Parents’ partnership According to statistics, children stay at home more than 16 hours a day and attend in CBF less than 5 hours per week. This is the reason that parents should be “partners” for children’s education with teachers and “role models” for their children.

Parents’ partnership • Restoring family value & purpose (education); Discipleship for own children (Dt. 6:7-9) Children’s family net-working Parents /Teachers meeting and seminar Teacher’s calling, visiting and writing letter to the parent Family devotion (Dt. 6:5) • Family worship • Sing spiritual songs • Bible reading and study • Writing testimony • Sharing prayer topics • Pray together • Participating in God’s work together Teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded

  19. 3. Parents’ partnership Tri-angle relationship: ( children / teachers / parents ) In order to carry our beloved children to God’s perspective, we have to use CBF as a powerful vehicle that teachers may be front wheels to direct and parents should be rear wheels to support.
