2. 2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2018 - A PREMIER INTERNATIONAL SHOW IN SOUTH ASIA REGION CEMS Global takes immense pride for hosting “2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2018" as an important addition to Bangladesh’s utility sector, which is evolving as a result of the growing demand for water resulting from rapid urban and industrial expansion, a fast-growing population, and change in modern life style. During the Expo one seminar and an international workshop were also arranged that added more value to the relevance for organizing exhibition on water issues. The “2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2018” included Water Treatment, Desalination, Pipelines, Pipeline Coating Systems, Pumps, Irrigation System, Water Coolers & Water Heaters, Water Savers, Water Well Drilling Equipment & Accessories, Agriculture & Horticulture Equipment, Chlorination System, De-watering Equipment, Chemicals, Tanks/Reservoir Lining Materials and Services & Related Technology in Bangladesh. CEMS Global is delighted to share this post show report on “2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2018” which was held during 25 - 27 October 2018 at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In the report we have incorporated some facts and figures on exhibitors, participants and visitors as well as pictorial views on activities like seminar and workshop held during the Expo. 6. PRESS CONFERENCE A press conference was held on 21stOctober 2018 at the Conference Hall of Economic Journalist Forum, in Palton Tower, Dhaka. 8. SEMINAR “Moving towards a water WISE Bangladesh” One of the major attractions of the 2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo was seminar and international workshop, which brought more than 150 water utilities experts, government officials, water resources professionals and business leaders purposively selected to attend the events and to speak about challenges and opportunities in water and wastewater management as well as share their views and experiences with the participants. It took us 4 years to develop Delta 2100, which would be the guiding principle for any development plan for next 100 years. - Dr. ShamsulAlam Dr. M A Matin, DG, RDA Chief guest of the seminar was Professor Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member - General Economic Division and Senior Secretary to the Planning Ministry Planning of the Government of Bangladesh and the special guests were Mr. KhurshedAlam, Assistant Country Director, UNDP Bangladesh and Dr. M A Matin, Director General, RDA. Seminar was moderated by Dr. MohidusSamadKhan of Chemical Engineering Department, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology . Seminar was held on October 25, 2018. Title of the Seminar was “Moving towards a water WISE Bangladesh”, jointly organized by BUET, RDA & CEMS Global. Central theme of the seminar was “Practical application of the new knowledge and technologies about water‟. Scholars and practitioners from government and non-government sectors presented papers on topics like: Governance of Water and Waste - A key to Sustainable Development; Water Supply Infrastructure Governance by Improvement of Existing Technological Options for Combating Changed Climatic Conditions; Community Based Rural Piped Water Supply Model for Drinking and Household Purposes

9. SEMINAR Highlights Seminar was intended for people who are interested in new market products to increase productivity and improve quality of life. Papers presented in the seminar were: Governance of Water and Waste: A key to Sustainable Development; Community Based Rural Piped Water Supply Model for Drinking and Household Purposes – A social experiment on better use of water; Bangladesh Mangrove Polder for Shrimp Aquatic Productivity; Evaluation of Present and Future Wastewater Impact of Textile Dying Industries in Bangladesh.
