Analyzing and Annotating Articles: A Step-by-Step Guide

This guide details how to effectively read and annotate two articles. Begin by chunking each article into three distinct sections. For every section, identify 2-5 key ideas and highlight them. Create a summary statement for each section, and write a comment about the content, like a question or a personal connection. When analyzing the second article, be sure to highlight similarities and differences with the first one to illustrate relationships between the texts. This structured approach fosters deeper understanding and critical thinking.
