  2. Outline • A bug in ECLOUD code – XY distribution for: • Field-free section • Quadrupole • Dipole • Oscillations in quadrupole heat load simulations.

  3. Field-free region – 7 TeV – 1.2x1011 – 25 ns

  4. Quadrupole – 7 TeV – 1.2x1011 – 25 ns

  5. Dipole – 7 TeV – 1.2x1011 – 25 ns

  6. Dipole – Gas ionization 0.54 T B = 0.01 T

  7. Oscillations in quadrupoleHeat load simulations • Simulationsparameters: • Macroparticles: 2500 • Time stepsinter bunchgap: 3000 • Energy: 7 TeV • Bunchspacing: 25 ns • Reflectivity: 0.5 • Ibend=2

  8. Results The “bug” seems to affect only dipoles and just the photoemission case. The quadrupoles heat load oscillations depends on the SEY and also the number of time steps.
