  3. International Conference on SCI A conference was held with pioneers in treatment and cure of spinal cord injury under the banners of the Ministry of Health in Iceland and WHO. Ministry of Health, Iceland The World Health Organization (WHO) The conclusions of the conference were that information on experimental treatment on people should be accumulated in one place.

  4. International Database A database on spinal cord injury was established. The database is jointly under the banners of the Icelandic Ministry of Health and WHO and is a medium on innovations in treatment of spinal cord injury. The database is made available for everybody without admissional fees on our websitewww.isci.is The database is translated in 5 languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

International Database People in more than 180 countries have now sought out information from it: USA Mexico Spain U.K. Canada Russia Venezuela Chile Peru Argentina Colombia Morocco Ecuador Iceland Germany France India Jordan The Netherlands Egypt Korea Saudi Arabia Oman Guadeloupe Qatar and many more…

  6. “You will never walk again” The TV documentary “You will never walk again” was produced. The film has been translated into many languages and broadcasted in more than 200 countries. The purpose of the film was to bring SCI to international focus.

  7. Institute of Spinal Cord Injury, Iceland - ISCI ISCI acts on behalf of the Icelandic government in the international SCI campaign. The Icelandic government is using their influence internationally for the benefit of this serious medical problem.

  8. Current project The current project by ISCI is an effort to raise awareness to the matter of Spinal Cord Injury. A television advertisement has been produced by ISCI. It urges the nations of the world to join hands in the search for cure of SCI. It is our hope that TV stations in the Nordic countries will act positively on our request for a joint effort in the project by broadcasting the advertisement as a humanitarian cause.
