  1. Inspirational Short Stories About Life Listen to Life Changing Stories

  2. When I was a child, I loved being told stories. Hearing from my parents about the superheroes that fought the bad guys and saved the day would always put me to sleep. I constantly dreamed about having a cape of my own and flying through the clouds to save the world. I would indulge in my false reality until the obnoxious screech from my alarm clock would abruptly end my impersonation of the superhero I was told about, forcing me to get ready to catch the school bus. Stories can help us see reality in a new light and inspire us to attempt to be just like the characters we hear about. As an adult, stories still inspire me to try to be like the protagonist of the tale. Even though our superheroes may not have super strength or the ability to fly, they inspire us to be better people today. Whether I heard it from others in my life or opened my ears to a character on one of my favorite television shows, I have heard a few inspirational short stories about life that motivate me to be a better and stronger person every day. 4. The Joking Man A wise man worked with a team of people who would cry and complain about the same problems constantly. Then came a time where instead of just hearing them fuss, he cracked a joke that sent the whole room into a frenzy of laughter. Shortly after the reaction from the man’s witty joke ended, he repeated the same joke. Only a few people would smile at the man’s repeated act. The wise man would then repeat the joke for a third time. The group responded with no reaction. The man smiled and told the group, “You didn’t laugh at my joke more than once. So what are you getting out of complaining about the same problem more than once?” Listen to Life Changing Stories

  5. The Moral: The man used the joke as an analogy for how his team constantly complained about the same issues. Just like how someone should not expect others to laugh at the same jokes, people should not expect problems to get solved by constantly expressing their scorn for them. Complaining about the same problem more than once is not progressive. Instead, focus your efforts on finding a way to tackle and solve your problems. The Rock In The Road There was a road to a kingdom, and in the middle of that road, was a large rock. People would just avoid the rock, but horses would break their legs on it and wagon wheels would get knocked off. People would lose the goods they would come to the kingdom to sell. That's what happened to a little girl. A casquette of beer her family brewed fell right off and broke, dirt soaked it all up and was gone. That was her family’s last chance. They were hungry and didn't have any money. Listen to Life Changing Stories

  7. The girl broke down and started crying, but she wondered why it was still there. For it to hurt someone else. So she dug out that rock on the road with her hands until they bled. The girl used everything she had to pull it out after hours of digging. When she was going to fill up the hole she saw something at the bottom, it was a bag of gold. The king had placed that rock on the road because he knew the person who dug it out and helped others deserved a reward. They deserved to have their life changed for the good… forever. The Moral: This story was told by Rick Grimes in the famous Walking Dead television series in an attempt to inspire King Ezekiel to help Rick’s coalition fight for freedom. The moral speaks to being rewarded for committing selfless acts. The girl and her family had lost everything they had, but instead of worrying about herself, she worried about others running into the same fate as hers. Always thinking of your own well-being may be easier, but the more difficult and more rewarding task is worrying about the well-being of others. Listen to Life Changing Stories

  8. The Hundred-Dollar Bill A speaker began her seminar by holding up a $100 bill. A crowd of 1000 people came to hear her speak. She asked the crowd, “Who wants this $100 bill?” 1000 hands went up. She said, “One of you can have it but first, let me do this.” She pulled out a pen and scribbled on the bill. The speaker asked again, “Who wants this $100 bill?” All 1000 hands went back up. “Well,” she replied, “What if I do this?” Then she placed the bill on the floor and jumped on it with her shoes over and over again. She picked it up, showed it to the crowd, and asked for a final time. “Do I still have any takers on this?” Listen to Life Changing Stories

  10. Again, there was no shortage of raised hands. “Everyone, do you understand what I am showing you here? This bill did not decrease in value no matter what I just put it through. The same goes for all of you. Life will kick you down sometimes and jump on you over and over again. Whether we make dumb choices or we are a victim of what happens to us. You may feel beat up but your value will never dwindle. Know your value and don’t let anything or anyone make you feel like you are less than that!” The Moral: Knowing your self-worth is an important trait that everyone needs to equip. Some forget their value due to past events that have had a negative impact on their life, but just like that beat-up $100 bill, your value does not change because those things have happened to you. Surround yourself with those who make you feel valuable because every person is unique and special, no matter who you are. Listen to Life Changing Stories
