  2. The Question • The Hellavator at playland is 60m tall. 12 people can ride at one time. It takes 4.2 seconds for the riders to reach the top of the ride. Assuming the riders weigh an average of 130 pounds, calculate: • The potential energy of the riders at the top of the ride. • The kinetic energy the the when they are halfway up the ride. • Assume that a pulley system accelerates the riders up the ride for 30m. After it reaches 30m the pulley system let’s go of the riders, and the riders fly to the top of the ride. Calculate how much force is needed to shoot the riders up the ride.
