  1. Junior Year Abroad for Altman Scholars – Options and Application Process

Junior Year Abroad (JYA) for Altman Scholars 2 semesters abroad (reluctant exceptions may be made); Courses taken in the Target Language, with domestic students; Programs specially selected by both the Center for Global Education and the A.B. Freeman School of Business; 3.0 GPA needed to enter JYA program; May not be on disciplinary or honor board probation.

  3. Target language: German Altman "German" students will need to do split year (SLA courses one semester and business courses another semester).

German and German Speaking World for Altman Scholars For Business curriculum you can choose from the following: WHU, Koblenz, Germany (4 spots) HohenheimUniversity, Hohenheim, Germany (no limit for spots) University of Vienna, Austria (6 spots; business school has agreement) University of Innsbruck, Austria (usually only goes spring b/c fall semester goes through January)

German and German Speaking World for Altman Scholars For SLA curriculum you can choose from the following: IES German Language and Area Studies, Berlin, Germany Friedrich-Schhiller-Universitat, Jena, Germany University of Innsbruck, Austria (not yet official but should be available by Fall 2014)

  7. Target language: French Altman ”French" students can study both business and SLA courses in some universities or split their year in between two institutions.

  9. French and French Speaking World for Altman Scholars • Altman “French” students can join their business and SLA courses in the following universities: • Sciences Po, Paris, France – CGE/Business approved • Strasbourg School of Management, Strasbourg, France

French and French Speaking World for Altman Scholars • For Business curriculum Altman students can study at: • SKEMA, Nice, France • Reims Business School, Rheims, France • For “SLA curriculum only” Altman students can study at the following below: • UniversiteLouis Lumiere, Lyon, France • Aix-en-Provence, France • EDUCO, Paris, France • IES Rabat, Morocco

Italian and Italian Speaking Countries for Altman Scholars • Altman “Italian” students can join their business and SLA courses in the following universities below: • Bologna, Italy • For Business curriculum Altman students can study at: • Cofuscari, Venice, Italy • For “SLA curriculum only” Altman students can study at the following below: • IES Abroad Music and Vocal Performance, Milan, Italy • IES Abroad Rome Center, Rome, Italy

Portuguese and Portuguese Speaking Countries for Altman Scholars • Altman “Portuguese” students can join their business and SLA courses in the following universities below: • NOVA, Lisbon, Portugal • For Business curriculum Altman students can study at the ones below: • INSPER, Sao Paulo, Brazil • FGV, Sao Paulo, Brazil • For “SLA curriculum only” Altman students can study at the following below: • CIEE Study Center, Sao Paulo, Brazil • CIEE Salvador da Bahia, Brazil

Spanish and Spanish Speaking Countries for Altman Scholars • Altman “Spanish” students can join their business and SLA courses in the following universities below: • University of Chile, Santiago, Chile • University of Andes, Colombia • Universidad de Belgrano, Argentina • Madrid, Spain (with one semester at ICADE (BS partner) and another semester at Computence (CGE partner) (for ICADE there is less demand in spring, 20-25 spots)

Spanish and Spanish Speaking Countries for Altman Scholars • For Business curriculum Altman students can study at the ones below (or can they also do SLA courses in there?): • - ITESM, Monterrey, Mexico • For SLA curriculum they can choose from the following: • IES Abroad Advanced Language Program, Granada, Spain (fall semester only) • JYA at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain (spring semester only) • IFSA-Butler/COPA Argentine Universities Program, Buenos Aires, Argentina • Middlebury College in Latin America at Uni de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina • CIEE at Universidad de Chile, Santiago, Chile
