  7. Key Steps in the Qualifications Development or Re-alignment Work A. Scoping & Profiling – all affected/relevant stakeholders B. Actual Development Work through 4 areas: 1. Knowledge Modules – Appointed CEP 2. Practical Modules – Appointed CEP 3. Work Experience Modules – Appointed CEP 4. Assessment Specifications - Appointed CEP and AQP C. Circulation and Verification of all work developed -all affected/relevant stakeholders D. Final Capturing on the QCTO tool E. Final editing and submission to QCTO for evaluation/ registration • NB: It could take between 4-8 months or more to develop one Occupational Qualification

CHIETA Excellence Awards • Process • Categories streamline as per NSA awards requirements • 8 Categories Who should apply? • CHIETA stakeholders/companies that participated in the 2016/17 discretionary grant process • Selection Criteria • Good project management • Full utilisation of the discretionary grants awarded • Good delivery of training (quality provision) • Impact – number of beneficiaries vs grants awarded

CHIETA Excellence Awards • Application Process • Application forms will be sent to all legible companies by the 5th of October 2017 – companies to complete the following sections: • Name of organisation / applicant • Select appropriate category from the 8 categories provided • Scan document and send it to 2017awards@chieta.org.za • All queries must be directed to the same email address • Closing date for submissions is on the 13th of October 2017 • The winners will be known on the day of Awards. CHIETA will arrange flights and accommodation for the shortlisted companies (Max of 2 people per company)

SSDD • 4,094 learners hosted in the database as at 26 September 2017 • Fluctuations in numbers in the Employer screen expected due to CHIETA database maintenance protocols • 797 learners had their CVs downloaded by employers in 2017 • Total of 77 learners placed in 2017 • Registrations: • January: 353 • February: 247 • March: 117 • April 44 • May 1087 • June 133 • July 61 • August 108 • September 54 www.ssdd.org.za
