  5. Kyle has 12 pieces of candy. Devyn has 9 pieces of candy. How many more pieces of candy does Kyle have than Devyn? 3 pieces of candy

  6. Claire’s cousin has 3 dolls.  Claire has 2 more dolls than her cousin.  How many dolls does Claire have? 5 dolls

  7. Jannelle has 6 apples. She has 2 more apples than Abie. How many apples does Abie have? 4 apples

  8. A hungry hummingbird sucked nectar from 2 pink flowers and 4 blue flowers. How many flowers did the hummingbird get nectar from? 6 flowers

  9. Izzy has 8 pencils.  5 pencils are yellow.  The rest of the pencils are blue.  How many of Izzy's pencils are blue? 3 pencils
