  2. Time is of the essence! -If we are to be available for an emergency situation, we must be ready to roll. We should already have our work trucks when a call comes in. When we are needed after hours, we are needed in a hurry. Reasons why already having trucks will be better for the District. -Claim 1; Quicker response in time of crisis. -Claim 2; Direct route to address of the emergency. -Claim 3; Lessen the chances of compromising security.

  3. Quicker response in time of crisis. • When an emergency call comes in, if we need to respond, we must first drive to the yard and open our gates, then the shop and then get into our work trucks, before we can head to the call. • We must be in a work truck to have the nessecary tools to respond efficently.

  4. Direct route to address of emergency. -Having our work trucks will ensure that we get to a problem as quickly as possible. • Not having to go to the yard will shave a considerable amount of time off of our response.

  5. Lessen the chances of compromising security. -When we rush to the yard and rush out, there are several security points that must be locked and unlocked. • This allows for mistakes to be made or things forgotten, therefore possible security risk.

  6. It is evident that what I propose is needful and will be for the best. • Quicker response in time of crisis. • Direct route to address of emergency. • Lessen the chances of compromising security. - If we are to be available for an emergency situation, we must be ready to roll. We should already have our work trucks when a call comes in.

  7. I would ask that a change to our district policies be made. • A head of each department could meet together to discuss and work out new policy. • Before next Board Meeting, that way it can be presented to the Board. • Allow the On Call Operator to take his work truck home for the week he is on call.
