  12. Don’t smoke! • Smoking related-diseases kill one in 10 adults globally, or cause four million deaths. By 2030, if current trends continue, smoking will kill one in six people. • Every eight seconds, someone dies from tobacco use.

  13. The humidity was a wet sweater. The sickly-sweet odor of plumeria flowers filled the air. Someone had just finished painting the sunset brilliant shades of crimson and violet. The palm trees shushed the scene, the wind shuffling their leaves. The air was salty from the surrounding ocean.

  14. If you have premarital sex, you’re a slut. Your reputation will be ruined! Your friends will ditch you because they are ashamed of you! Don’t have premarital sex!

  15. Clouds are formed when air containing water vapor is cooled below a critical temperature called the dew point and the resulting moisture condenses into droplets on microscopic dust particles in the atmosphere. The air is normally cooled by expansion during its upward movement. Upward flow of air in the atmosphere may be caused by convection resulting from intense solar heating of the ground; by a cold wedge of air (cold front) near the ground causing a mass of warm air to be forced aloft; or by a mountain range at an angle to the wind.

  16. Don’t do drugs. Drugs kill. Drugs destroy. Don’t do drugs.

  17. I walked slowly, nervously to the front door. I knew he was home now. I had driven by his house twenty times. His car was out front. I rang the doorbell. He stood before me, my father. “Do you remember me?” I asked. My voice quivered. “Kristi?”

  18. Amnesty now! We’re in the United States, treat us equally! We help build this country through agriculture and construction. We contribute to the success of the U.S. Make us citizens!
