  1. Mission Statement The Patriot High School Beta Club Adopt a Teacher program’s mission is to generate positive role models for elementary school students, to create a beneficial connection between high school and elementary schools, and to earn service hours for a valuable cause.

  2. Dates Thursdays 2:05-3:30pm Start Date: February 27th, 2014 End Date: May 1st, 2014

  3. Attendance Requirements As honor students, you SHOULD attend all of the Thursdays for the entire time. You Must: • Attend at least 8 of 10 Thursdays • No more than 3 Thursdays with a reduced time (ex. Key Club meeting: 30 min. late) Note: Absences may be excused due to mandatory events, emergencies, and/or school-approved absences. An email will be sent out each week notifying you if you are absent and asking for an excuse. It is your responsibility to contact your assigned teacher when you have a prearranged absence so they can plan accordingly.

  4. Expectations • Be polite and respectful to students and teachers (no inappropriate language or PDA) • Don’t go on your phone or do homework • Be a positive role model, even when no one is looking

  5. Teacher Assignments Assignment information is located on your green sheet. Please make sure you bring that sheet to T. Clay Wood on the 27th

  6. Check In Procedures There will be a sign in sheet in the Main Office as T. Clay Wood Sign in by 2:05pm T. Clay Wood will provide you an identification badge You must sign in and out, no matter what time. The sheets in the main office will be used to verify your attendance/hours.

  7. Check-Out/ Pick-Up Procedures Please make sure you sign out, especially if you leave early. If somebody is picking you up, please have them wait at PATRIOT HS in the pick-up line by the main entrance or in a parking space. NO PARKING/WAITING AT/NEAR T. Clay Wood (includes bus loop) If you drive to school, do not park at T. Clay Wood

  8. Thursday, Feb. 27th, 2014 • Report to T. Clay Wood by 2:05pm, sign-in in the front office, and wait in the lobby • Training- Mrs. Cunningham • Work with teacher/students until 3:30
