  25. Opinion about Takeover Days • Take Over Days are a good experience for students to learn about the operations in a company and to decide which sector they would like to work. (ES) • It is a very good idea, it assures possibility for youth to experience the working field where they would like to have their job. (RO) • It also makes us look at our own work more critically and consider if there is something more we could do to engage young people and change our offer. We get young people’s view on the work we do. Negative – it is not easy to find activities that the young people could take over. Staff roles are very varied and we struggle to find parts of the decision maker’s work that YP could do, or even pretend to do. So tends to be more contributing and commenting on work rather than ‘taking over’. (UK) • Take Over is a good opportunity both for the host organization and for the young people who will take part in the working day because there is an exchange of ideas and skills. (IT)

  26. Experience before … • Combined study/work experiences. (ES, IT) • We, receive very often group of students and we are presenting to them our working process. (RO) • Help with careers guidance, CV writing, employability skills, work experience and apprenticeships. We also work with young people in care or who have additional needs. Special projects, such as Pan Out, to promote specific industries and generate interest in what they offer. (UK)

  27. Services or aspects of your work which be suitable for a Takeover Day • ES: planning, programming, actions designed to dynamize and promote the growth of economic activity of the city • RO: pottery, painting, PR, florist, flower arranger • UK: data analysis, programming, coding (depending on the experience of YP) • IT: co-working, social network management, communication, event organization, client reception (selling), workshop

  28. Barriers …to take part in the program • Staff availability • Lack of staff time • Finding roles that is not to technical for them (YP) • If the Takover Days data is overlaps with a period when we are very busy.

  29. The organisation will get out of taking part in Takeover Day • To improve the quality of our services based on the feedback, suggestions made by YP • To position ourselves in the market as a company which receives students. • To get new employees • Opportunity to meet bright YP and hear what they think of our work • To get an insight into the YP’s world and thinking • Increase visibility on local and European level • Contribution of the new generations in the field of social media and IT
