  1. Mehrangarh Fort And Museum

  2. Mehrangarh Fort Jodhpur is one of the biggest spectacular and best-preserved forts in India. It stands a hundred feet on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the skyline of Jodhpur, and is enclosed by imposing thick walls on all sides. There are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards inside its boundaries. If you are planning to visit Jodhpur then you can't miss the amazing Village Safari in Jodhpur. We offer a ride to Bishnoi Safari in Jodhpur which consists of several attractions like DurryUdhyog visit, Potter making.

  3. The Mehrangarh Fort Museum has played a major role in the enhancement of Jodhpur tourism and is constructed in 1459. The fort was designed with the aim of building a powerful defense for Jodhpur. The museum had gone through a number of changes and altercations during the course of time. These altercations were done for the betterment of the fort only. Hence, these changes conjointly reflect several important incidents of history.

  4. After the long walk from the city up to the fort, you go through the main gate and continue to walk up a ramp through a series of seven gates. At a gate called LohaPol, iron spikes are embedded in the wood and a set of small red handprints on the wall memorialize a horrifying historic event. These are the handprints of the wives of Maharaja Man Singh’s widows still there as they went to throw themselves on his funeral pyre.

  5. The museum contains several antiques, armory, paintings, and the turban gallery. The Great Palanquin – Mahadol is an exquisite piece of art and of great historical significance. Maharaja Abhay Singh brought this magnificent palanquin to Jodhpur as war booty after defeating the governor of Gujarat Sarbuland Khan in 1730. The Mahadol is executed in the rich Gujarat tradition of carved and painted woodwork. The eves of the canopy are of beaten, cast and cut ironwork.
