You have $50.00, if sales tax is 10.25% can you afford the shoes? .30*68.99 = 20.70, thus with 30% off the shoes are 68.99-20.70 = 48.29 Now, taking an additional 10% off results in 48.29*.10 = 4.83 thus 48.29-4.83 = 43.26 for the shoes with all the discounts. Applying the sales tax, 43.26*.1025 = 4.45 so the total will be 43.26 + 4.45 = 47.91. ANSWER: Yes
