  4. Jehovah Shammah • Ezekiel 48:35 … ‘the Lord is there’ • a priest in a prophet’s mantle • a land without inhabitants • a city without citizens • a temple without priests • a ritual without worshippers

  5. Jehovah Shammah • the glory of God • the throne of God • the power of God • the kingdom of God • a new city … for the new nation … and the new era • a new name – Jehovah Shammah

Jehovah Shammah • ‘the Lord is there’ … but where? • in the fellowship of saints (Matthew 18) • in the Father’s home (Revelation 21) • in the hearts of his people (Colossians 3) • at the Father’s right hand (Hebrews 7) • in the furnace of affliction (Daniel 3) • in the shadows and storms of life … • at the end of the road (Psalm 23)

  9. Jehovah Shammah • there’s just something about that name! How sweet the name of Jesus sounds In a believer’s ear; It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds, And drives away his fear. • all that matters in this life, and in the life to come, is that the Lord is with us
