  2. One day, a father of a wealthy family took his son on a trip to a rural countryside.

  3. His purpose is to motivate his son to take over managing the vast family fortune and estate.

  4. They spent a couple of days helping with the daily activities on the farm of a poor family.

  5. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”

  6. What do you think will the son say?

  7. “It was great, Dad.” “Did you see how poor people could be?” “Oh yeah,” said the son. “So, what did you learn from this trip?”

  8. The son answered, “I saw that we have one dog, and they had four.”

  9. “We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, and they have a creek that has no end.”

  10. “We have imported lanterns in our garden, and they have the stars at night.”

  11. “Our patio reaches to the front yard, and they have the whole horizon.”

  12. “We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.”

  13. “We buy our food, but they grow theirs.”

  14. “We have walls around our property to protect us, but they have many friends to protect them.”

  15. With this, the boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”
