  1. What to Look For in an Electric Bike? While purchasing an electric bike, few things are necessary to be looked into. There are affordable electric bikes in Brisbane that comes with high-end features. In an e- bike, you can check for the front hub motor that makes maintenance more manageable if you need to remove the wheel for a puncture. E-bikes that come with a throttle can legally power your bike up to 6km/hr. It's also worth considering the following features: 1. Weight -Electric bikes are heavy – some are over 30kg because of the battery. Remember to consider if you might need to lift it, for example, to carry it upstairs or mount it on a roof rack. Some e-bikes are comfortable, and you can easily pack and carry them anywhere. 2. Brakes -Look for hydraulic disc brakes. They'll be more expensive but require less maintenance than mechanical disc brakes or V brakes. 3. Tires -Folding mountain bikes have better traction than traditional road tires. Puncture-resistant tires will save you from changing as many flats – a particular hassle if you have a rear hub motor or if you struggle with the bike's weight.
