  2. Essay Question • How has the character of Bottom developed in Acts 1-3 of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream’? • In your repose you should refer closely to the text.

  3. Much of the humour in this scene comes from the image of a beautiful Queen of Fairies – Titania – falling in love with a man with a donkey’s head – Bottom! • Look at the images that follow. In pairs, discuss how they have used the ideas and language used in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. • Which one do you most prefer, and why? • Which one do you least prefer, and why?

  4. Now design your own version of this scene, including Titania and Bottom, and any other characters you wish. You drawing should be accompanied by a commentary of 200 words, explaining how you have used the play to inspire you.
