  5. What’s Happening? • Who are the people in the images? • What do you think the people in the images wanted? • Why?

  6. History of Human Rights • Watch the following clip. http://www.youthforhumanrights.org/ • Discuss the clip with the rest of your class • Using A3 PAPER produce a time line with the information you have found out.

  7. What rights are the most important? • Examine the rights outlined in the Human Rights Act; • Which are the most important rights? • Rank them in order of importance in your opinion • Justify your opinion • www.un.org/cyberbus/humanrights/resources/plain.asp

  8. Discussion 1 • Split into three groups. Chose a key figure in the human rights story For example; Eleanor Roosevelt. You must agree as a group on the person. Next lesson will be a whole class debate on; ‘Who is the most influential figure in the Human Rights movement.’ • HOMEWORK: • ALL learners must bring in evidence of research on their person next week. • All learner must identify questions they wish to raise in the debate
