  2. The 3 R’s • I will RESPECT my teachers, others, and myself. • I will always be RESPONSIBLE for my actions and behavior • I will REACH for my highest potential by giving 100% every day in all that I do.

  3. About You • List what you’d like to become someday. • Reba sings—A Little Want To • List favorite hobbies. • List anything you’d like to tell me about you as a student.

  4. Science Requirements • Science Lab Book • Lab work—teamwork to get it done! • Grades come from science lab book and tests. • 7th assessed in science on the KPREP test at the end of the year.

  5. Lab/OSHA Rules • Wear protective gear—goggles, lab aprons. • Stand during chemical experiments to prevent spills onto you. • Stay in your work area. • Follow directions carefully—lights blink—STOP, LOOK, LISTEN! • Work areas must be cleaned carefully and quickly.

  6. Spelling • Tests on Wednesday and Friday—Both count in the grade book. If you make 100 or better on the Wednesday test you do not have to take the Friday test. • Monday—definitions • Tuesday—5 times each • Wednesday—midweek test—and sentences • Thursday—page from book • Friday—final test

  7. English • Grades come from textbook pages and unit tests. • 6th KPREP test at the end of the year: On Demand Writing and grammar skills • 8th—On Demand Writing on the KREP Test & Grammar Skills tested on the Explore Test
