  1. Demarai Gray: Best or Worst buy for Everton? Everton is witnessing fewer transfers before the summer window closure. As compared to the last five seasons where the club spent over £500m on transfers, this year, their most significant signing so far is Demarai Gray at a price of just £1.8m. However, Everton fans are skeptical about the signing of Gray due to his stagnated performance in recent years. Former Leicester star Gray joined Everton this summer after being part of Bayer Leverkusen for six months. His practice sessions and motivation from fans already started showing results when he scored two goals in three Premier League appearances for Everton. He joined the Merseyside club from German side Bayer Leverkusen in July and showed the immediate impact. If we discuss his performance in a few matches, we first start with the match played against Southampton. Gray played a central role behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the central striker. He showcased his understanding with Richarlison on the left and Andros Townsend on the right and calculated when to drop deep into midfield and break past Calvert Lewin in the attack. Another match against Leeds United showed sharper decision-making ability of Gray. He started on the left side and scored the goal to put Everton back in front at 2-1. Under his coach Rafael Benitez, he is showing better performance than under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City. His attentiveness and quick, calculated reactions made the fans of Everton think that Gray is the best buy for the club. Benitez continuously shows his confidence over Gray and supports his hunger for improvement and pushes other players around him. He advocated that Gray could give the club something different like Townsend. Some football enthusiasts believe that his fluidity and interchangeability in the attacking third might be helpful to Everton and make them win money they put in a football bet. Along with his game, his obedience and hard work could make him a favorite at Goodison Park.
