Always thinking in term of 'all or nothing' keeps us from seeing situations clearly. It is not always bad, but one should check if it is helpful or not in a particlar situation. Perfectionism It shades our judgement about others as we tend to see and filter their words and actions in terms of our insecurities. Projecting insecurities of self on others Unable to let go off the past mistakes leads to guilt trap and faulty decision making. Holding on to the past baggage
It pulls us back into a state of procrastination, guilt, regret, etc leading to alot of self doubt and second guessing. Self Criticism External validation helps one feel acceptable. But they are not always the best to decide if one is worthy or not. Need for external validation One tends to overanalyze the future which leads to faulty thinking patterns. And certainly one doesn't make rational decisions. Fear of Uncertainty
