  1. Guilt, healthy or unhealthy? Why do I always feel sorry?

  2. Guilt It's healthy as long as it helps in living up to our authentic values. It makes us treat everyone with respect and encourages us to do our share, having a positive impact on our relations. Excessive guilt can be psychologically burdening, leading to depressive mood states. It also interferes with our daily functioning.

  3. How to process guilt? Look for evidence and get more information to substantiate your feelings of guilt. Appreciate yourself by acknowledging the steps you are taking towards achieving your goals. Reverse your roles. By deliberately taking the other person's perspective, you are more likely to see you situation objectively.

  4. How to process guilt? Guilt can disguise other emotions, leading to constant self-pity or victimization. Identify what feelings lie underneath the guilt. Evaluate how much you are willing and able to do, instead of expecting perfection from yourself. Its okay to take care of your own needs. You are in a much better position to cater to other's expectations only if your needs are met too.
